The integration enables automatic synchronization between PassportScan and Oracle Hospitality Suite8, improving the guest experience with a streamlined data interchange.

PASSPORTSCAN LTD a Gold level member of the Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN), today announced it has achieved Oracle Validated Integration of PassportScan with Oracle Hospitality Suite8. With the validated integration, PassportScan captures and manages the data from ID cards and passports, then immediately sends the data to Oracle Hospitality Suite8. This realtime data exchange reduces human error and speeds up the check‐in process. “Achieving Oracle Validated Integration gives customers confidence that the integration of PassportScan with Oracle Hospitality Suite8 is functionally sound and performs as tested,” said David Hicks, vice president, Worldwide ISV Cloud Business Development, Oracle. “For solutions deployed on‐premise, in the cloud, or both, Oracle Validated Integration applies a rigorous technical review and test process that helps reduce deployment risk and improves the user experience of the partner’s integrated offering.”

PassportScan simplifies the collection and management of customer identification data. Within the PassportScan interface, associates can process new and regular guest data, add companions to the booking, capture the guest’s signature and other useful data such as email addresses, phone numbers, and privacy preferences. In addition, simply by clicking the PassportScan button, the integration permits the retrieval of data such as arrival and departure times, room type and room rate from Oracle Hospitality Suite8. Furthermore, once the guest ID is scanned, data is synchronized with the guest profiles in Oracle Hospitality Suite8. The integration results in an enhanced guest experience by minimizing time and cues, while fully respecting the GDPR compliance and standards of security.
